My name is Juan Carlos Villegas and I am an Engineering Consultant for 33 Buckets. I met the team in June of 2016 on a project in Dominican Republic.
My favorite memories of this team are all in remote areas in small cars traveling to meet amazing people. There are many stories I could tell but the most impactful memory I have is sitting on the side of a hill with truly great people eating local potatoes heated in the dirt and listening to the laughter and admiring the knowledge this team has and the eagerness to want to help the people who need it.
A few things about myself - I have worked in construction for 15 years and now at the awesome age of 27, I see and understand that working young gave me a lot of characteristics that I wouldn’t have learned any other way. I have one handsome son, and one beautiful daughter both have taught me many things about myself not only as a father but as a person, selflessness for example they taught me that being kind to others and only expecting a smile opens up many doors.
